Freckled Fox Quiltery had a great year!

I am linking up to Meadow Mist Design blog to take part in the “Best of 2018 Linky Party.”  What a great tradition.  Thanks for hosting, Cheryl.

If you’d like to join in,  just write a blog post highlighting your fav-five from 2018.  Don’t forget to add a link to them so everybody can enjoy a re-read.

Here are my five favourite posts.

  1.  Way way back in January, 2018 I wrote a post about a quilt I was working on called. The Avenue.  Of course this quilt pattern was created by Louise Papas for Jen Kingwell.  Here is a picture of my version (I added an actual Avenue) It will always be one of my favourite quilt finishes ever.

My 2018 post with the most comments is Happy Hop Day.  I was so excited to take part in the 2018 New Quilt Bloggers Blog Hop and it was soooooo worth it.  I made lots of new friends/followers and have to give a shout out to Sandra at MMM Quilts, Tish at Tish n’Wonderland , Jen at Dizzy Quilter and Beth at  Cooking Up Quilts

Did you have a “best” BOM, QAL or Mystery Quilt this year?  I did, it was the PEIMQG Mystery QAL hosted by my Guild buddy, Cathy. There were lots of Quilty options for folks to choose when it became time to put the quilt blocks together. I chose to make a table runner for my dining room.  Its fabulous isn’t it?  I was Playing Catch Up Again is a post that shows some pics of all the monthly quilting I did last year.

Did you take any Quilty classes or workshops last year.  I did…so a post about my “2018 Best of” would not be complete without a shout out to Make Words, Not War.  If you ever have a chance to take a class from Cheryl Arkison, do not hesitate.  Sign up.  You will not be disappointed.  Here is a pic of the word I chose and the quilty-pillow I ended up making. Personally I love it.IMG_6973

And….last but not least, I signed up for Stash Bee in 2018 and was a member Beehive 2 in 2018. We posted pics on Instagram each month as we made quilt blocks for our Queen Bee.  I loved the block I asked my bee buddies to make, so much that I think it definitely deserves a place on my Best of 2018 post.  The picture is below and the link is here

Its December 28, 2018 and I’m still posting every day in the…

Did you do something creative today?
